I Am the Fire, o novo vídeo do guitarrista Gus G. – conhecido na cena rock e metal por seu trabalho com Ozzy Osbourne e à frente de sua própria banda (o Firewind) – pode ser visualizado abaixo, ao final do texto. Com a participação especial da banda norte-americana de hard rock Devour the Day, a faixa dá título ao primeiro álbum solo do virtuoso músico grego, que será lançado em 18 de março, via Century Media Records.
O disco foi gravado nos Estados Unidos e na Grécia, ao longo do último semestre de 2013. Jay Ruston (Anthrax, The Winery Dogs, Steel Panther, Stone Sour) ficou responsável pela mixagem e Gustavo Sazes (Arch Enemy, Kamelot, Dream Evil), pela arte da capa.
No álbum, Gus G. executa todas as partes de guitarra, baixo e teclados, além de contar com um grande time de convidados especiais, que inclui os bateristas Jeff Friedl (A Perfect Circle, Puscifer, Devo) e Daniel Erlandsson (Arch Enemy); os baixistas David Ellefson (Megadeth), Billy Sheehan (Mr. Big, The Winery Dogs, David Lee Roth) e Marty O’Brien (Tommy Lee, We Are the Fallen, Lita Ford); e os vocalistas Mats Levén (Candlemass, ex-Yngwie Malmsteen, Therion), Blake Allison (Devour the Day), Michael Starr (Steel Panther), Alexia Rodriguez (Eyes Set to Kill), Tom S. Englund (Evergrey), Jacob Bunton (Adler, Lynam) e Jeff Scott Soto (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Talisman, W.E.T, ex-Journey, Yngwie Malmsteen).
